To Eorzea...
Ceremony - Fri, 20 Aug 2010 01:05:57 -0400
![]() Still Life has never been a guild content in conquering a single game, and in our few years as a guild we have conquered many. From WoW to LoTRO, AoC to WAR, and yes, even Aion - we were there - while concurrently enjoying server firsts on Kilrogg in World of Warcraft. While for some of us WoW will remain our home (as it was our birthplace as a guild), a large number of our members will be calling Eorzea our new official home beginning this September, when Final Fantasy XIV is released in North America. A handful of our members are in closed beta now, fleeing from Nanny Goats, Dodos, and Cactaur. While it's too early to know details of realms and starting cities, know that SL will have a strong presence in XIV. There are cat-girls, after all... Recruitment and realm info to follow in the coming weeks...
Done with Wrath, see you in Cata!

Although I don't know what the future holds for Still Life, it's safe to say at least some people will be back for Cataclysm. We may see you there, or in another game (FFXIV), but we'll be around somewhere.
Still Life Loves Kitties... Online!
Ainx - Thu, 01 Apr 2010 01:25:00 -0400
We've been adrift in the recent months, trying to find our place in some MMO, and I finally think we found our calling.
![]() Still Life will be a presence in the Hello Kitty Online MMO as soon as we can get everyone signed up. See you in Florapolis, Kitties!
Wyrms got. Only Lich King remains.

Fun Cheevo Time!
Ainx - Sat, 13 Mar 2010 21:55:16 -0500
We finally cleared Heroic modes of all but Lich King. Sindragosa was such a bitch - what a terribly tuned encounter. We had to have our hunter switch to his resto druid and our resto shaman go elemental so we wouldn't get 2 healers debuffed in phase 3 if our other caster got blocked.
And now we get to work on these dumb achievements. ![]() Not looking forward to Neck Deep in Vile. Not at all.

Still Casual
Ainx - Sun, 17 Jan 2010 21:36:23 -0500
We're slowly working on Icecrown Citadel in 10-man capacity. It's kinda refreshing not worrying about server progression and just doing whatever you want with people you can trust. One day, I hope they lower the 25-mans to 15-mans. In the meantime, we'll just keep achieving in 10s!

Aion out. WoW in. FFXIV on the horizon.
Ainx - Thu, 17 Dec 2009 09:37:29 -0500
Aion didn't quite work out for the Still Life crew. We played for a month, but ended up bailing. Only had one person reach 50. The game, while beautiful and certainly more hardcore than WoW, was definitely not casual-friendly - which is what we aimed to be in Aion.
A bunch of us are back, playing WoW, but with the FFXIV beta on the horizon, I think Still Life has a pretty clear cut goal. A bunch of our members were ex-FFXI players and with our recent visit to FFXI (which just wasn't the same) and the announcement of FFXIV beta, our hunger for things Final and Fantastic has returned. Hopefully some of our members will get into the beta and check it out - roam around, see the raids and quests. Probably not until after New Year, but we are excited.
Still Life in Aion
Ainx - Sat, 17 Oct 2009 07:53:47 -0400
We are casually exploring the world of Atreia on the Vaizel server. Couple 40s, mostly 30s so far. Come by and say hi.
Moving Right Along...
Ainx - Mon, 13 Jul 2009 03:09:46 -0400
Although Still Life's presence in WoW is non-existent, we continue to play together elsewhere. We're looking forward to new games to hold our attention, possibly even Blizzard's new unnamed project. Expect to see signs of life here once Aion and FFXIV come out.

Farewell, Still Life
Ainx - Mon, 01 Jun 2009 15:34:31 -0400
Still Life is done raiding in WoW. About half of the raiding core is disenchanted with the game and has quit. Few of us are going to be toying around in Aion, some are playing FFXI and others just living a life. No, you can't have our stuff. To quote Marsellus:
I'm at a point where endlessly clearing normal modes sounds boring and not challenging, while doing hard modes seems tedious and redundant. That is basically the reason for people quitting, although a few of our key players just suddenly decided to have a real life, consequently rendering us crippled for hard mode progress. Unlike my predecessor, I don't have the desire to continue playing WoW. Nobody stepped up to lead, so the guild has ceased to function. Those who will keep playing will be an amazing asset to other guilds. I hope you all find your place! Peace out, Ainx

Ulduar Week 1
Ainx - Tue, 21 Apr 2009 17:21:49 -0400
Still Life raided a whopping 16 hours this week and cleared all the way up to General Vezax. I'd say that is an accomplishment. That means that we do more while spending less time doing it! To commemorate the first week's closing, I bring you this video of our Mimiron kill. Download the HQ version here.
Nothing can quite show happiness as much as a warm and heart-felt compliment. ![]() Till next time!

New website and forums!
Ainx - Tue, 31 Mar 2009 18:03:22 -0400
Welcome to the new website and forums!
Old forums are still available here. We will be phasing them out over the next week. Please register on the new forums. There are a plethora of features available with PHPBB3, and I'll try to write up a short guide on what tags you can do and use in your posts. These forums are a bit different than the ones you're used to. Be patient as I add you all to appropriate groups over the next week.
